Traditional Cuisine

You will learn and taste traditional recipes made with what the forest has to offer: cassava, banana, fresh fish, medicinal leaves and much more — all prepared on a wood-fired stove.

  • The Hunãti Shane Kaya Shanenawa Institute is located in the city of Feijó in the state of Acre — a region rich in biodiversity and ancestral traditions.

    Access may vary depending on the time of year and may include river and land transportation. After scheduling your visit, we will provide all the necessary guidance to ensure your arrival is safe.

  • You can contact us via WhatsApp, email or social media. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have and welcome your interest.

  • We recommend bringing light and comfortable clothing, appropriate hiking shoes, natural insect repellent, sunscreen, personal hygiene items, a flashlight, a reusable water bottle, and the essentials for an overnight stay if necessary. We also suggest bringing an open mind and a heart open to live a unique experience.

  • It is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended to come with respect, clear intention and openness to learning. We share sacred knowledge and profound experiences, so we encourage each visitor to prepare themselves emotionally and spiritually, with humility and gratitude.
